Ag Evaluate – Agricultural Research:

The husband and wife team of Ben and Michaela McLeod combined their careers over eight years ago to become favoured agricultural contract researchers in the Canterbury region.  Now operating as Ag Evaluate, Ben and Michaela have capabilities and experience to run independent pasture, yield, animal and crop research for their clients.

Agricultural research has been a focus for Michaela (B.Agr.Sci (Hons)) in her career, with over 20 years of experience in the seed industry, starting as a forage agronomist at Wrightson Research and later becoming Research Manager for Seed Force (until 2014).  Her expertise within Ag Evaluate is as lead communicator, consultation, data collection and management and in analysis and reporting. Ben brings practical skills to the team, built from his time on farm as well as over 20 years’ experience in agricultural fencing.

Based near Lincoln, the McLeod’s have a small block which is suitable for small plot trials as well as much of the equipment required to run field research.  Ben and Michaela also have good rural contacts in Canterbury and beyond and lease land where required.  Above all, Ben and Michaela value accuracy and efficiency and enjoy managing a project from A to Z, as this is what best showcases their combined skillset, making them an excellent option when looking to outsource agricultural research requirements.
